What is WeGuard?

6 min read
In this lesson you'll learn to
  • Describe what WeGuard manages and on which OS platforms
  • Name each We-suite service and what it does
  • Use core WeGuard vocabulary (tenant, policy, enrollment, plan) correctly

A UEM platform, end to end

WeGuard is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform: one console to enroll company devices, push configuration ("policies") to them, keep them compliant, and act on them remotely — lock, locate, wipe, support — at fleet scale.

Managed platforms

PlatformHow devices enrollHighlights
Android (primary)Android Enterprise — QR, zero-touch, Knox Mobile Enrollment, BYOD work profileManaged Google Play, kiosk mode, full policy engine
Apple (iOS / iPadOS / macOS / tvOS)Apple Business Manager / Automated Device Enrollment (DEP)Supervised mode, VPP app licensing, Apple-native restrictions
WindowsAgent installer, provisioning package, or Autopilot with Microsoft EntraBitLocker, Windows Update rings, kiosk, secure browser

Linux and ChromeOS support is in progress — position them as roadmap, not available today.

The We-suite

Beyond core device management, WeGuard bundles differentiated services — these are the modules that win deals:

ServiceWhat it does
WeTrackLive device location on a map, tracking history, geofencing
WeBoxContent and file distribution to devices
WeTalkPush-to-talk, messaging, and video calling for frontline teams (Android)
WeShieldAntimalware scanning and web content filtering
WeSupportRemote screen view and control for support sessions
Patch ManagementOS/app patch approvals, deployment rings, rollback

Five words you'll use daily

  • Tenant — one customer organization's isolated WeGuard environment.
  • Enrollment — the process that brings a device under management.
  • Policy — a named bundle of settings assigned to devices; the heart of the product.
  • Plan — the commercial package (Starter, Growth, WeGuard Suite, Enterprise) that switches features on or off for a tenant.
  • Console — the web portal where admins and partners do all of the above.

Next up: a tour of those consoles.
